Created within the framework of the Human Brain Project, which concluded last September 30 after 10 years of work, EBRAINS remains an invaluable resource for the scientific community given the leading-edge tools, models, data, services and infrastructure that it makes available for the study of the brain. In this new phase, after inheriting HBP’s legacy, EBRAINS aims to become a sustainable research infrastructure.
In this regard, EBRAINS has obtained funding for two projects in the framework of Horizon Europe, with a relevant participation of the UPM Neurotech-Translation team:
- Virtual Brain Twin for personalized treatment of Psychiatric Disorders
- UPM leads WP7 on Dissemination, exploitation and communication(482.500 €, 48 meses)
- More info about the project: link
- EBRAINS 2.0
- UPM leads the task of innovation and exploitation within WP7 (436.000 €, 30 meses)
The UPM Neurotech-Translation team, involved in both projects, is integrated by the members of the NEUROTEC Community Bárbara Gasset, Blanca Beltrán, Teris Durán, Bryan Strange y Guillermo Velasco.
EBRAINS Spanish Node
The Spanish node of EBRAINS has recently incorporated CSIC and ISCIII among its members, who hosted last September 25th the presentation session of the services that the European infrastructure EBRAINS offers to the neuroscience and neurotechnology research community.
