EBRAINS aims to translate scientific findings into medical and industrial innovations for the benefit of patients and society in general.

The Spanish EBRAINS Node meeting on human memory circuits was held in a truly inspiring venue – the lecture theatre where Santiago Ramon y Cajal imparted his knowledge of histology and histopathology at Madrid’s former Medical Faculty. It is fair to say that the scientific level of all the oral presentations and subsequent discussion would have met with the approval of the father of modern neuroscience.

La reunión abordará las implicaciones de los circuitos cerebrales humanos relacionados con la memoria, desde las perspectivas de la anatomía, la fisiología y la modelización. Nuestro objetivo es entablar debates constructivos y fructíferos sobre los circuitos de la memoria humana, explorar cómo las herramientas y servicios de EBRAINS pueden ayudar a los neurocientíficos en este ámbito y poner en contacto a investigadores afines.

El Prof. Gustavo Deco impartió la tercera sesión del ciclo de conferencias NEUROTEC. Gustavo Deco es investigador de ICREA y Catedrático de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra, donde dirige el grupo de Neurociencia Computacional.
