The Spanish EBRAINS Node meeting on human memory circuits was held in a truly inspiring venue – the lecture theatre where Santiago Ramon y Cajal imparted his knowledge of histology and histopathology at Madrid’s former Medical Faculty. It is fair to say that the scientific level of all the oral presentations and subsequent discussion would have met with the approval of the father of modern neuroscience.

The meeting will address the implications of human brain circuits related to memory, from the perspectives of anatomy, physiology and modelling.

Our aim is for constructive and fruitful discussions about human memory circuits, to explore how EBRAINS tools and services can help neuroscientists in the area, and to connect researchers working in this field.

Prof. Gustavo Deco delivered the third session of NEUROTEC Lecture Series. Gustavo Deco is Research Professor at ICREA and Professor (Catedrático) at the Pompeu Fabra University where he leads the Computational Neuroscience group.
