Pre-registration or application for admission is made through the telematic application of the Technical University of Madrid. Following these instructions.
Once admitted, registration must be done online with the Automatrícula tool. More information and enrollment calendar on the UPM master enrollment website.In addition, it is recommended to read: “What do I have to do before I enrol”.
The possibility of registering through the Secretariat of the Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineers, responsible for managing the master’s program, is also open if finding problemas with Automatricula.

Note: There are two different pre-enrolment periods, the first (which opens in January 2025) for the entire range of courses on offer, and the second (from October 2025) for those programmes that have vacancies and whose academic structure allows them to start in the second term.
If your degree does not belong to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) or if you live outside the European Union, it is recommended that you pre-enrol during the first period in order to process the required academic documentation and obtain the corresponding visa.
Enrollment
Once admitted, the registration is formalized on-line (Automatrícula).
New students of the Master’s Degree must complete the self-registration following these instructions, it is also recommended check “What do I have to do before enrolling?”. The previous processes “Activation processes of the account @alumnos.upm.es” and “Request of previous appointment” do not activate until the enrollment begin.
It is also open the possibility of formalizing it by presenting the required documentation in the University School Secretariat or Faculty responsible for the management of the Master’s program within the established period if there is a problem to perform Automatrícula.
